Save money, why not update your own website content?

We are often asked by customers that they would like to make small changes to their own website, but lack the confidence or experience to modify the HTML code itself. Often we find customers are paying web designers by the hour to make small changes to the text on their website, which can become incredibly expensive if not covered under a maintenance agreement. Furthermore, when freelance web designers take their annual leave, customers typically have to wait patiently for them to return and complete the required updates.

In many cases we find customers are looking for a simple, cost effective means of making changes without needing the overheads or complexity of a full content management system such as MODX, Drupal etc. This is where our lite content management plugin comes into effect. For a small annual charge we can integrate a beautifully powerful, yet simple web front end into any website and within minutes you can be modifying your own website's text and images. Make as many changes as you want everyday to your website without depending on a costly web designer.

MODX - our preferred Content Management platform!

While testing various CMS products it quickly became clear that MODX offered designers and developers alike a rapid, robust platform that could be migrated to with relative ease. We also like the fact it's not been built with blogs in mind. This was a cause of frustration for us whilst testing other products, as we seemed to spend most of the time stripping out everything we didn't want (or like). MODX offered a different approach. It lays the foundations for new vanilla builds, and you extend from there. Seems logical, doesn't it?

We were so impressed with how intuitive the admin manager was. Quite simply it just works. Other products clearly required a lot of technical investment, eduction and patience. With MODX we built a website within an hour or two and everything just made sense. Echoing our philosophy of "simplify and conquer". Furthermore the advantages of building with CMS platforms ultimately mean at some point you'll need to unleash it on your client who you pray will not run a mile. MODX manager is easy to navigate so should be received pretty well (by most anyway).

Why we love MODX.

  • Apps - an extensible platform both in terms of core and add-on modules.
  • Interface - slick, feature rich, but above all intuitive.
  • SEO - a CMS platform built from the core with SEO in mind
